Marketing Manager

Marketing managers play a key role in any business -- developing a detailed marketing strategy to help maximize profits and increase customer return and loyalty.

Marketing managers work closely with market researchers to determine the demand for a company's products and services, track competitor products, and identify potential customers.

They develop pricing strategies to increase the firm's profits or share of the market while also ensuring customer satisfaction. They work with sales and product managers to oversee product development and monitor trends that suggest the need for new products and services. Lastly, marketing managers coordinate with advertising and promotion managers to promote the firm’s products and services and to attract potential customers.

Education and Training

Most marketing managers have at least a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in marketing. Many marketing specialists earn an MBA in order to become a marketing manager.
